This small community, blending waterfront with lush hillsides, is at the opening of Ross Valley. This sunny central Marin location is only minutes from the Larkspur Landing Ferry, as well as providing easy access to 101 (with San Francisco less than 15 miles away!). You’ll often find residents taking advantage of the Bon Air Shopping Center, home to about 50 businesses including : Mollie Stone’s Market, Peet’s Coffee, fitness classes, salons, and much more.

Staying true to the initial design, a model community incorporating original oak trees to the design, many homes in Greenbrae offer private landscaped yards and views of the Bay, creek or Mount Tamalpais. This blend with nature extends, with paths used by runners, walkers and bikes along the Creekside.

Also located here is Marin General Hospital, now MarinHealth Medical Center. This is the only full-service, acute care hospital in the county.

Elementary and Middle schools are within the excellent Kentfield School District. With under 100 students, their focus individualized attention has won both schools awards ranking them in the top 10% of California schools. Bacich Elementary, recently rated #3 in Marin, has an impressive one teacher to about every 16 students. Switching to the Tamalpais Union School District for high school, Redwood in Larkspur is itself the winner of several California Distinguished Schools awards.

Temperatures range between 83F and 41F. The long summers frequently bring sunny mid-70’s weather, perfect for enjoying a coffee or bagel in the outdoor seating of Bon Air Center.

Fun Fact – Some of the final scenes of the 1971 movie Dirty Harry took place on Sir Francis Drake Blvd, at the Greenbrae interchange.
