Tucked away within forested hills and valleys, Fairfax can feel like going back in time. Fun facts – In the 1960’s, The Grateful Dead and Jefferson’s Airplane played a softball game against each other at Central Field. 

Irving Berlin, renowned composer, lyricist and 8 time Academy Award nominee, was known to serenade from a treetop piano at what was later known as the Marin Town & Country Club. Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe spent many months in a love nest in the hills.
